Fragrant aromas of red cherry skins, soft spice and forest herbs follow to a silky palate. The 2018 vintage was warm and dry after good spring rains with perfectly ripe Pinot leading to intense wines with the structure to age.

Hungerford Hill was established in the Hunter Valley in 1967 on a property of the same name. The 2017 vintage marks 50 years since the planting of the first vines at 'Hungerford Hill' and the beginning of this iconic NSW winery. We have selected this Hunter Valley Shiraz from the outstanding 2017 vintage to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.

Shiraz barrels from the Sweetwater and St. Vernay vineyards in Belford and Pokolbin were selected for this wine. Deep red with an aromatic nose of cherry plum followed by a spicy vanillin palate which lingers on the long fine grained finish.

Hailing from the high-altitude region of Tumbarumba ensures this Chardonnay has intense fruit characters of peach and honeydew melon, while a small amount of malolactic fermentation has lead to a creamy palate.
