Hungerford Hill is proud to release its 2020 Hunter Valley Fiano. Pale straw-yellow in colour with aromas of mandarin and garden herbs, this textural wine finishes with a refreshing lemon acidity for which our Fiano is well known for.
Gewurztraminer is one of the most distinctive white wines in the world with its intensely perfumed aroma and crisp flavoursome palate. The warm Hunter Valley climate emboldens a powerful yet balanced style brimming with floral, herbaceous and spicy charm.
Vermentino hails from Italy’s Liguria region and the Mediterranean Islands of Sardinia and Corsica. Vermentino thrives in the warm climate of the Lower Hunter Valley with its thick skins and vibrant acidity. The wines are light to medium bodied with a textured palate. Produced from the St. Vernay Vineyard below the Hungerford Hill Cellar Door, it was handpicked and ‘wild’ fermented with natural yeast in older barriques; adding fabulous texture and weight to the quince and lime aromas.
Medium yellow with green hues. An intriguing and attractively generous bouquet of grapefruit, nectarine skin and lime pith. The fruit aromas are married harmoniously with underlying barrel ferment characters of gun-flint and oyster shell. While the palate is full flavoured the flavours are succulent and their frame ultimately crisp and refreshing.
Hungerford Hill Single Dalwood Vineyard Chardonnay grows in sandy loam soil on the south bank of the Hunter River. The 2019 vintage was warm and dry. The fruit was hand picked in early February and is exotic with ripe flavours of peach and melon, and a creamy palate with well integrated oak.
This Hunter Valley Rosé is made from our Dalwood vineyard on the banks of the Hunter River. It is fragrant and elegant with ripe red berry aromas. The palate is smooth with a long savoury texture and crisp refreshing finish. Serve lightly chilled.
The palate is in the Hunter Valley medium bodied style and does not disappoint with lashings of juicy cherry fruit integrated with fine tannins throughout the palate and a fresh lingering acidity. The wine is combination of flavour, softness and lightness.
The 2019 Sangiovese is vibrant with wild red cherry and violet fruit with a long and savoury palate.
Sangiovese thrives in the well drained red soils of the Hilltops region near Young, NSW; The dry climate and long growing season of warm sunny days and cold nights produces an intensely flavoured and classically styled wine.
