Grown along the banks of the Hunter River this Chardonnay hails from the oldest continually operating vineyard in Australia, Dalwood. First planted by George Wyndham in 1828 this vineyard is a piece of living history that continues in this wine.
Block 8 Chardonnay grows in alluvial sandy loam on the southern bank of the Hunter River. The 2021 vintage was cool and Block 8 was hand picked on the 30th of January. Ripe and exotic peach and melon fruits follow on to a creamy cashew nut palate with well integrated oak. the palate is long with intriguing 'wild' ferment complexity.
This hunter Valley Rose is made from fruit picked at our Dalwood vineyard, on the banks of the Hunter River. It is fragrant and elegant, with ripe red berry aromas. The palate is smooth with a long savoury texture and a crisp refreshing finish.
Dalwood Estate Shiraz 2020
Dalwood Estate Shiraz is from the rich red soils of the Hunter Valley. The 2020 vintage was warm and dry with low yielding and concentrated fruit picked in early February. Deeply coloured with red fruits and spice followed by a seamless palate with well integrated oak.

SV Chardonnay Hunter Valley 2020
Hungerford Hill Single Dalwood Vineyard Chardonnay grows in sandy loam soil on the south bank of the Hunter River. The 2020 vintage was warm and dry. The fruit was hand picked in early February and is exotic with ripe flavours of peach and melon, and a creamy palate with well integrated oak.
The Hesperia vineyard is located in Tumbarumba, NSW. This is a high altitude, cold climate area in the western foothills of the Snowy Mountain ranges. It has long cold winters with frequent snow, followed by warm summer days and cool nights. The basis of this cool climate Chardonnay from Tumbarumba is the expression of citrus fruit integrated with subtle yet stylish battonage (lees aging) and seasoned oak nuances expressed as layers of complexity consistent both in the aroma and palate.
