Grown along the banks of the Hunter River this Chardonnay hails from the oldest continually operating vineyard in Australia, Dalwood. First planted by George Wyndham in 1828 this vineyard is a piece of living history that continues in this wine.

Block 8 Chardonnay grows in alluvial sandy loam on the southern bank of the Hunter River. The 2021 vintage was cool and Block 8 was hand picked on the 30th of January. Ripe and exotic peach and melon fruits follow on to a creamy cashew nut palate with well integrated oak. the palate is long with intriguing 'wild' ferment complexity.
